Drafted by Real Salt Lake in the first round (14th overall) of the 2011 MLS Supplemental Draft but not signed to a contract, Attinella returned to the Claret-and-Cobalt when he signed with the team in December 2012. He featured for Real Salt Lake five times throughout the 2013 season, making his first appearance for the Claret-and-Cobalt on July 13, when he subbed on for injured goalkeeper Josh Saunders in the 51st minute of RSL’s 3-0 away win over FC Dallas.
The Philadelphia Union selected 19 year old goalkeeper Zac MacMath with the fifth overall selection in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft. After posting a 0.65 GAA in three years at the University of Maryland, MacMath impressed in his rookie season with Philadelphia, going undefeated (3-0-4) with a 1.07 GAA in seven starts when starter Faryd Mondragon broke his finger on September 3.

In a league that, for the first time in its history, has three goalkeepers 23 and younger starting regularly for their teams, finding youthful reminders of the importance of goalkeeping experience is never difficult.
